ShowPony are a professional Sydney based duo that provide a slick collection of cover music tailored to any occasion. Lauren (vocals and piano) and Mick (guitar and vocals) are no strangers to the live band circuit and have showcased their trademark blood harmonies both nationally and internationally.

Their extensive repertoire consists of popular hits from the last 50 years including dance, disco, pop, current chart toppers and more. They are the perfect outfit for clubs, corporate events, weddings, cruise ships and private parties.

 

The duo is fully self-contained providing high quality professional backing sequences and a state of the art audio system for a perfect sound. Specialised lighting is also provided, customised specifically for the occasion.

 

Together they have performed at clubs and corporate functions around Sydney and the Gold Coast, and internationally at venues such as the Dusit Island Resort in Chiang Rai, Thailand. They create City Pop videos on their successful Youtube channel and have featured on several Japanese television networks (NHK World and Tokyo Broadcasting System). ShowPony have performed at major sporting events such as the Longines Golden Slipper Day Races at Rosehill, were the Sydney Swans members band at the SCG and performed for the Sydney Roosters premiership after-party.

Lauren has received a Bachelor of Music and has been working the club circuit with bands and cabaret shows, performing across Australia as the lead in The Hannah Montana tribute show, and with a residency at Slide piano bar in Sydney with The Divine Miss Bette. She also opened the Sydney Royal Easter Show, performing the Australian National Anthem.

Mick has been a staple of the Australian music industry in acts such as Wylde Child, The Hippos and more recently as a member of four-time Australian Entertainment “Mo” Award winners Frogs On Toast. He has performed at countless pubs, clubs, weddings and corporate functions in Australia and has toured China and Papua New Guinea. He has also featured on television with the Optus midday show band.
